What’s Happening 11/8/19-11/10/19

Need to renew/apply for a passport? Stop by Town Hall Rm 133 today, 11/8/19, between 3pm and 6pm!

This Friday, 11/8 is the Brookfield Craft Center’s Holiday Sale Opening Reception from 5:00 – 8:00pm.  Meet the artists and shop tax free! Food will be provided by The First Bite Catering. This must-visit sale and exhibit of local and national uniquely crafted selections has drawn hundreds of visitors from across the Northeast every year for over 40 years.  The Annual Holiday Sale will continue through 12/31. Gallery shop hours from November 9 through December 31 are Mondays through Fridays from 12-5, Saturdays from 11-5, and Sundays 12-4 pm.

The First Bite Catering’s Small Business Saturday will be held on 11/9 from 10-4. They will be featuring food samplings, Wusthof knife promotions, releasing their 2020 cooking class schedule and gift certificates. Knife sharpening and wonderful wood carvings from The Kilted Handcrafter will also be available. So many great gift opportunities!

The Hummus & Pita Company’s One Year Anniversary Celebration is also on 11/9.  Free falafel or Chickpea Chiller to their first 100 guests, 2nd Annual Falafel Eating Contest at 12pm, 98Q will be live on-site from 11am-1pm, and there will be tons of prizes and giveaways!

Also on 11/9, The Bent of The River Audubon is hosting “A Nature’s Harvest Walk” Join them for a harvest adventure to seek out and observe nature’s bounty. During this walk, you’ll be on the lookout for nuts, berries, and seeds that are produced by our native plants. Pre-registration is required and a $5 donation is requested.

On Sunday, 11/10 visit the Christmas in CT Holiday Gift Expo at the Naugatuck Event Center. Shop from 200 vendors with products from every category imaginable. There will be food trucks on site for food and drinks, face painting for kids and pictures with Santa.  Admission is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors 65 and older and kids 12 and under are free.  Join them for the kick off to the holiday season at the show where you can find something for everyone on your list!
