Did you know that the Brookfield Education Foundation’s (BEF) mission is “to marshal and provide resources for lifelong learning by Brookfield residents of all ages” and not solely Brookfield Schools?  Projects are selected through an application process and discussed by the 17 board members at their regular monthly meetings.  Grants can be minor (under $500) or major (over $500). In 2018, BFF funded five grants totaling over $24,000. These grants address educational endeavors that include starting a business at BHS, growing vegetables with tower gardens at WMS, social emotional learning at WMS, formation of a string ensemble at BHS, and creating awareness for healthy food and fitness for youth in our community.
Once again, they are kicking off their annual fund drive which includes the Thanks for Giving Gala.
