The market is home to a bakery offering delicious apple and fruit pies, pastries, and cookies. The market has a large selection of jams, jellies, sauces and fruit butters. The two biggest selling items are apple cider and their famous apple cider donuts.
Local honey made from the bees that pollinate their apple trees is available!
Silverman’s Farm – 451 Sport Hill Rd, Easton, CT
Apple picking is CLOSED for the 2020 season. There are still apples being picked for purchase in the market.
Apple picking is open for the 2020 season! Ginger Gold apples will be available first. After Ginger Gold, Gala Red and Macintosh to be ready. PYO will be available weekdays ONLY. There will be NO WEEKEND PICKING at this time. Bring your walking shoes this year! In accordance with the new guidelines put in place by the CDC and Connecticut Department of agriculture they will not be transporting you by tractor. You’ll be hoofing it!! For those of you who aren’t up for an orchard hike, the market and our outdoor farm market will be stocked with freshly harvested apples for pick-up. Please remember that masks are mandatory at the farm for adults and children over the age of 2 yrs that can safely wear one
The Market is open 7 days a week, from 9am to 5pm. Four customers are allowed at a time, preferably one customer per family, at a time. Customers can also preorder ahead by phone for curbside pick-up. Online orders for pies and donuts only can also be placed.
The Country Market offers fresh produce, a great selection of jams, jellies, local honey, maple syrup and many specialty items. The market is always stocked with up to 16 varieties of their famous fresh-baked pies! Don’t forget cider donuts and fresh pressed apple cider.
Kids and adults all love to visit Silverman’s rustic animal farm! See, pet and feed all sorts of animals, including buffalo, llamas, alpacas, sheep, goats, fallow deer, emus, and long-horn cattle. There is an admission fee.
Litchfield County
Averill Farm – 250 Calhoun St, Washington Depot
Pick-your-Own update: The season is over for picking apples, but there are Bosc pears still available for picking. We also have apples to sell at the stand.
Masks are in season! Both at the stand, and anytime you are closer to others than six feet! The apples available for pick-your-own are McIntosh, Macoun, Spartan, Liberty, Redcort and Cortland. Prepay for our standard sized bags under the solar canopy.
These and some earlier apple varieties are also available at the stand in bags this year to prevent hands rummaging through bushel boxes!
Peak Season In The Orchard:
August 15 to Thanksgiving
through October 31: 9:30-5:30 every day, then November 1-November 25, 9:30-4:3 daily.
After Peak At The House:
November 29 until December 23: 9:30-4:30 Friday through Monday

Averill Farm sells their own cider, apple cider donuts, cut flowers, and homemade the old-fashioned way jams and jellies. They also sell locally-sourced pies, pumpkins, gourds, Indian corn, mums, maple syrup, honey, cheddar cheese, garlic, potatoes, some tomatoes, and gifts. After Thanksgiving, they sell fruit, cider, and Christmas trees from their homestead until the Christmas Tree season ends on December 24. After that, any remaining apples are sold from cold storage.
Ellsworth Hill Orchard & Berry Farm – 461 Cornwall Bridge Rd, Sharon
They are now open for pick your own & picked apples, raspberries, blueberries & picked fresh sweet corn! Their Large Corn Maze is now open. The theme this year is Dinosaurs. Their Retail Farm Stand Store will be open with apples & blueberries, fresh baked pies, cider doughnuts, cider and many other products. Remember that picking conditions could change at any time and that alters the days open for picking and days closed for picking in the various fields. Check their website or phone message to confirm before leaving home for picking. Ellsworth Hill Orchard will be open 7 days a week for picked fruit and bakery at their Farm Store. Ellsworth Hill Orchard lost all their cherries, peaches and plums to cold temperatures in the spring and lost many ripe blueberries to the heavy winds during the Hurricane this season. Please support their farm during the fall apple picking season to help with operating costs this season.

March Farm’s Wizard of Oz themed Corn Maze is open! Choose your time slot & pre-pay for guaranteed access & savings. $6 per person when you purchase online in advance. $7 when you purchase on site. 2 & under are free. You must bring your receipt the day you come for proof of purchase. Corn Maze tickets go on sale the Monday before the approaching weekend. Corn Maze is open Saturday’s & Sunday’s only. The Mobile Pub is there Saturdays from 2-6pm and Sundays from 11-6pm.
The Hilltop Snack Shack serves grilled cheese, hotdogs, hearty soups, & ice cream novelties. Local Vendors will be there on Sundays as well. Be sure to check out their Pondside Animal Yard and Hayloft Playscape.
The Farm Market and Bakery specializes in their homegrown berries, fruits & vegetables along with cooperatively grown produce from other local farms. They also offer a delicious selection including breads, brownies, cider donuts, cookies, fruit pies, muffins, pastries, pound cakes & scones; all baked fresh daily on site. Open seven days a week from May through December, the market has everything you need to compliment your next meal or desert.
You are required to wear a face mask, including in the field — please bring your own.
Social distancing will be maintained. They will have enhanced sanitation practices, regularly cleaning and sanitizing high touch points.
You are requested to wash and/or sanitize your hands prior to visiting the farm. If picnicking please space yourself at least 15 ft. from others.
When in line you must space yourself 6 ft apart from others. Please note … due to COVID they will not be busing people from the lower lot to the hilltop. Visitors will be asked for a minimum $5 parking donation up top, but not down below.
