Daffodils and cherry blossoms – After a long winter, spring blooms are always such a delight!

Hubbard Park in Meriden is a lovely area with its bridges, stonework, and water features. The variety of daffodils adds greatly to the beauty of this special park.

Seeing the cherry blossoms at Wooster Square in New Haven has been on my list for at least a couple years, it was so pretty!

Then there is the daffodil love story from Redding; over the years Bud McQuade planted daffodils on his property in honor of his late wife, Florence. Bud lived to the age of 103, and there are nearly 50,000 beautiful daffodils gracing the field at 70 Cross Highway. You can’t help but smile when surrounded by thousands of sunny daffodils. If you go early, you might match my luck in being able to enjoy the beauty in solitude.

Laurel Ridge in Litchfield is yet another great place to stroll among the fields of daffodils – enjoy!
