Four Corners Chocolate And Coffee

TownAppeal is excited to welcome Four Corners Chocolate and Coffee to Brookfield!  Owner Stacy Murphy’s enthusiasm is contagious. The chocolate and coffee store is located at 1 Tucks Rd in Brookfield, across the street from the Brookfield Craft Center. The store offers indoor and outdoor dining, with a beautifully appointed patio featuring a fountain and gardens, patio string lights and numerous antiques, art, sculptures and knick-knacks from local artisans, all housed in a historic building built in the 1880’s.

Walking through the store one is taken back in time, as it is decorated with antiques and oriental rugs, and repurposed items found in tag sales, flea markets, antique dealers and junk yards. The entire store theme focuses on the unusual, whimsical, and eclectic. Repurposed chairs, wooden wire cable spools for tables, antique curios and local raw edged wood shelving, are just some of the eye catching items that adorn the floors and walls.

Stacy is a true renaissance woman, with a diverse portfolio in small businesses, and has been the owner of Sweet Pea Farm of Redding since 2010. Sweet Pea Farm manufactures and produces; handcrafted honey, bourbon maple honey, bee pollen,  gourmet chocolates and chocolate truffles, and hot cocoa bombs. Sweet Pea Farms’ products are sold in numerous retail locations including; coffee shops, gourmet grocery markets, wineries, restaurants, and boutique hotels nationwide.

Stacy Murphy’s Four Corners Chocolates and Coffeeshop focuses on supporting and promoting local businesses, and will be serving their own gourmet chocolates, fresh baked muffins and croissants, in conjunction with other gourmet chocolates, cookies, cake slices, brownies, granola, cupcakes and pies from other local artisanal bakers.  Four kinds of coffee will be served including: house dark, medium roast, decaffeinated, and a rotating flavored coffee. Ready made grab and go bags of whole beans are available for purchase, or coffee can be freshly ground on premise. Ten varieties of Brookfield based Simpson and Vail teas are on the menu as well, along with tea accessories and gifts. Teas can be enjoyed by the cup, or purchased in tins or bulk, for gifts and take home.

There is a farm section in the store, which features local CT farm goods including eggs, fresh juices, hummus, cured meats, cheeses, salsas, sourdough bread, elderberry syrup, and olive oils.  If all that isn’t enough to excite you, Four Corners Chocolates and Coffee also will showcase gifts and one of a kind crafts from local artisans like wood carvers, jewelers, wood and wire sculpturers, glass makers, leather workers, custom greeting cards, flower sachets, crystal healing gifts, lotions and salves and more.

Four Corners Chocolate and Coffee will launch its soft opening in the middle of May.  The Grand Opening Party and Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting will be held in early June featuring live music, vendor sampling, an antique car and bike show, barbeque and food trucks. The official date will be posted on TownAppeal’s Calendar of Events.

When not working on her businesses, Stacy enjoys roaming the hills of CT on her motorcycle, farming, gardening and hiking.  She hopes to host monthly fresh vendor markets, antique car and motorcycle shows, and seasonal gatherings at Four Corners Chocolate and Coffee in the future, with live music, vendors and food trucks on site.  She feels this will be a great way to bring visitors to the Brookfield Town Center and help all the small businesses in the area with additional foot traffic. Stacy chose Brookfield for the beautiful surrounding countryside, historic buildings and homes, and combined with the town restoration project she feels like it is a successful and attractive location for business growth and expansion.
Stacy’s Motto is:
Eat Chocolate. Drink Coffee. Repeat.

  1. I stopped by to investigate for myself and found Stacey working on the light fixture on the front porch. She immediately welcomed me to see her pride and joy and showed me around. Her enthusiasm is contagious. I wanted to ask her for a job so i could be apart if the electrifying atmosphere and also answer the store phone which is an old pay phone mounted on the wall.
Praying Stacy to maintain her energy and being apart of our community for years to come.
