A ribbon cutting for Brookfield Village Phase 2 was held on October 28th, at 802 – 806 Federal Road. Brookfield Village Phase 1 opened in March 2018 a few months after the completion of Streetscape Phase One with the completion of buildings one and four. Alan Rothman, pictured center, from Unicorn Contracting Corp. discussed how much progress has been made. Phase 2 buildings 2 and 3 included 40 market price apartments. Studios start at $1,500, one bedroom starts at $1,700 and two bedrooms start at $2,250. Loft options are available. The buildings offer 14,000 square feet of commercial space and are 75% leased or are under contract. George Walker, responsible for leasing the commercial space, elaborated on the details with us after the ribbon cutting ceremony. The commercial space will include: A Café – serving breakfast and lunch A Dental Team – 2 dentists were looking to merge and open a practice in CT. They looked around and determined that Brookfield works best for them! SALT 2.0 – A quick-service kitchen by Saltwater Grille serving grain & salad bowls, sandwich wraps, tacos, burritos, nachos, quesadillas, vegan, vegetarian & gluten free friendly! A high end American restaurant under contract that should be finalized by Thanksgiving. The Apartments and businesses are expected to open in the first quarter of 2022. An outdoor patio will be available to the restaurants as well! The patio even features a Christmas Tree!

La Piazza will be opening their Lounge/Restaurant at the end of November. “We had a delay on the arrival of our chef, Ciro Palomba, from Italy” explained Francesco Bagala, Manager. Palumbo, a three Micheline star chef, will bring diners fine, homemade, Italian cuisine. “It will be an experience” said Francesco. “Patrons will be served cocktails, appetizers, and an amazing dinner with top notch service”.
