“DAZZLE: A garden of Glass”

My friend and I took a trip to the Beardsley Zoo for their greenhouse exhibit, “DAZZLE: A garden of Glass,” which is showcasing 500 pieces of Peter Greenwood’s glass art daily through April 6th.

We really enjoyed it; was wonderful to see some flowers blooming, and beautiful fish in the koi pond. Neither of us had been there since our kids were young, so we strolled around to visit the animals, then took a walk across the street through Beardsley Park.

We ended our adventure with a tailgate for two at Chaves Bakery and Deli, sharing a great sub, and maybe an Italian treat lol!

About Kim Downey – KDPassport

Back in June 2019, I became intrigued with the idea of exploring every town in Connecticut. My family and I had met Martin Podskoch at DiGrazia Vineyards as he introduced his book, “Connecticut 169 Club: Your Passport & Guide to Exploring Connecticut.”

I began the quest in earnest by embarking on many solo trips; then at times joined by friends or relatives. I completed this wonderful adventure in Norwalk on August 12, 2020, accompanied by my family. I realized that I wasn’t “done” since there is so much to see and do in all seasons of our beautiful state. I look forward sharing many ideas with you!
